Cheap Date: May 1st

After a little time away, I have returned with a brand new Cheap Date. What’s Cheap Date, you may ask? Well this is where I recommend $30 worth of nerdy entertainment to fill your week; whether it be movies, comics, games or anything else. I keep everything to the $30 budget so you don’t go broke enjoying everything.

Movie – $11
Iron Man 3
We’re starting the summer block busters off with the Armored Avenger hitting theaters this weekend. Watch as Iron Man with his multitude of armors takes on the Mandarin and as Phase 2 of the Marvel Studios universe begins. Come back to catch our review later this week.
Comic – $4
Age of Ultron #7
Recently at C2E2, Marvel announced a new storyline for Wolverine titled “Killable” in which due to certain events he loses his healing abilities. In this issue of the mega-event, two heroes try to change the Marvel universe and maybe alter their own abilities. Check out this issue to find out if this is what leads to “Killable.”
Game – $15
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Far Cry 3 has hit the charts as one of the funnest games this year. Instead of dropping DLC to go along with the game, Ubisoft decided to release a standalone downloadable title. Meaning you do not need the original game but still have all the fun that Ubisoft developed for Far Cry 3. The best part: the game brings you back to 80’s look into the future and it’s amazing.
Hopefully, you check out everything I recommended this week. Check back next week for a brand new edition of Cheap Date.
