My apologies for missing last week’s Cheap Date, but this week is full of great items for your enjoyment.

Game – $15

The Cave

Double Fine Productions and Ron Gilbert are at it again with this new platform/adventure/puzzle game. In The Cave, you pick three characters out of seven to play through the game. This will be another fun, quirky game from the maker of the Monkey Island games.

Movie – $11

Parker

Parker is the latest adaptation of the crime novels following the career thief Parker. The Richard Stark novels (even the graphic novel adaptations by Darwyn Cooke) are intelligently done, while the movies are decidedly mixed. Hopefully, this current movie will pay homage to a long-standing book series in a correct way.

Comic – $4

Uncanny X-Force #1

There are a lot of great books that are coming out this week, each one in the middle of a story arc. I felt it was my duty to remind you to pick up this book by the up-and-coming writer Sam Humphries that brings together a brand new X-Force team.
