Mortal Kombat Legacy Ssn 2 Trailer

We talked about it in on today’s episode of the podcast, but I think everyone should take a look at the trailer for themselves. Kevin Tancharoen is back at it with season 2 of Mortal Kombat Legacy. It looks like there’s been some re-casting and an upgrade in graphics. Take a look for yourself.

Don’t forget to check out Episode 43 of the podcast to hear what we thought.

The Internship Trailer

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson reunite again after the success of Wedding Crashers for the new comedy The Internship. Vaughn and Wilson, after recently being let go, sign up to become an intern at Google for a chance at a job. How can you beat two middle age men having to cope with dealing with 20-somethings, especially some tech savvy ones.

I thought Wedding Crashers was fantastic, especially since both actor has a unique personality. I am excited to see another rendition of the awkward friendship.

Monsters University Trailer

First full trailer for Monsters University has hit the internet. It has a few scenes that have floated around in featurettes and such, but the jokes are still good. I felt Pixar’s last two films were fairly bad, but seeing this trailer has given me hope that they are back on the right track.

First Full Fast 6 Trailer

Wow that’s a lot of F’s up there. How about another pair: f*cking fun! That’s what this trailer looks like. After the Super Bowl’s TV spot, we now have a full trailer for The Fast and The Furious 6. We get a large amount of plot info. The gang’s back together to take down a gang of vehicular criminals. In exchange, they get full pardons. A pretty basic plot for a straight-forward action movie. And don’t get it mixed up. F&F is no longer simply a racing movie, it is a full blown action franchise. We also get a good glimpse at some of the new talent in the movie. Luke Evans as the antagonistic Owen Shaw. Gina Carano also shows off some of the moves that had me pumped for Haywire. Let’s hope this works out better. Take a look for yourself.

Gangster Squad

The Story

I am a huge Noir / 40s gangster / Crime Action Drama fan. This story takes place in 1940s Los Angeles at a time when the city is falling into the hands of Mickey Cohen; a notorious crime boss. The police chief realizes that Cohen has too strong a hold within the proper channels and recruits a squad of cops who have what it takes to play on Cohen’s level to save their city from corruption. The story in itself is your typical cops and gangster story, but the way it’s done and the distinct plot points make this movie memorable.

As I have already seen this movie and do solemnly swear not to spoil any major plot points you may click to read what to expect from this movie. I have also posted the trailer after the jump.

“Dead Man Down” Trailer

We did our highly anticipated in 2013 podcast (Engress) recently, and movies were unfortunately cut due to time. Danny has his Top 20, but we had many more to mention. Unfortunately, this one still missed our attention. Niels Arden Oplev (2009’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) teams again with Noomi Rapace to bring us a tense tale of revenge. Colin Farrell and Terrence Howard also star. Check out the trailer.

Man of Steel Trailer

Originally, the trailer for the Zack Snyder directed Man of Steel was scheduled to show with The Hobbit this weekend. Instead, Warner Bros. decided to show the trailer off a little earlier. Definitely some interesting and fun stuff in the trailer. The teaser had me concerned but this trailer has started winning me back.

Hit the jump for the trailer of the next Superman movie.

Star Trek Into Darkness Teaser

Our first real glimpse at the upcoming Star Trek sequel looks pretty intense, but the question still somewhat remains, who is Benedict Cumberbatch playing? Rumors seem to be settling between Gary Mitchell and Kahn. Take a look for yourself and let us know what you think.

Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion

Okay, as you may have noticed by now I am a fan of books that become movies. Actually it seems like recently just about everything on the big screen falls into that category. I found this book after watching the trailer for Warm Bodies. I vaguely remembered the plot from my search for a zombie story that was less gore more heart.

If you have seen the trailer you know that this story tries to make light of the Protagonist,  R‘s, situation; you know… being the walking undead. Here is what you need to know about the plot.

This is a story of star-crossed lovers. She is a teenage girl and he is a zombie who has eaten her boyfriend’s brain. When a zombie eats a human brain, it absorbs all of its prey’s memories and in the case of “R” he absorbs the feelings this boy has for Julie.  R & Julie…. ring and shakespearian bells? R’s ability to love Julie causes a change and its contagious, proving that love truly conquers all.
