In case you are unfamiliar with this weekly article, I will recommend an allotment of nerdy entertainment that I think you should definitely check out this week and altogether it costs no more than thirty bucks. Because we all know how expensive being a nerd can be.

Cartoon Network is celebrating twenty years of being on the air. If you enjoy animation then you have certainly must have enjoyed a few of the shows in this video Cartoon Network put together. This is a two-minute long music video that showcasing some of the best shows that have been aired on the network. It has been broken up to smaller chunks and used during commercial breaks.

Cheap Date is where I recommend nerdy entertainment for you that will ultimately cost no more than $30, because we all know expensive it can be to enjoy our hobbies.

Revolution Season 1 Recap Episode 3: “No Quarter”
Three episodes in and we get to see a little bit more of this history of the world that we are now viewing. Now I have realized that I have been a little wordy with my recaps, so I will try to be a little more precise and cut the fluff. Either way, if you like it wordy or straight-to-the-point be warned that after the jump there are going to be SPOILERS for the third episode of Revolution titled “No Quarter.”
CYaN Podcast Episode 23: I Promise It’ll Get Bigger
Good afternoon, internet. Here comes another ruckus filled episode of the Call Yourself A Nerd podcast with Danny and Ricky. In this week’s episode; we talk about more Halo/Blops trailers, the MySpace relaunch, Elementary, and the trailer for Matthew Lillard’s directorial debut in a feature Fat Kid Rules the World. I hope you enjoy it, it was fun recording.
California Passes Driverless Cars Bill
Remember those scenes in Minority Report and I, Robot that allowed the main characters to get around in automatic cars? Well, we are moving closer to that future. While if you are familiar with Highway 101 in the Bay Area, you may have already noticed Google’s vehicles rolling around with a driver behind the wheel only as a safety feature. Now we will be able to see them more often and more around California. Nevada already has a similar law in place, with other states following suit. Either way, this is a step in automated vehicles that may prevent human error (aka that asshole that cut you off without using a turn signal).
This law allows anyone to work on a driver-less vehicle, but this is obviously a Google victory as California Governor Jerry Brown went to Google’s Mountain View offices to sign the bill with Google co-founder Sergey Brin overseeing the event with his Google Glass.
He may look dorky, but I admire a man who is that dedicated to his field and proud of the work that comes our. I will be looking forward to what develops from this.

Retro Review: The Princess Bride
Twenty-five years ago today, a wonderful movie came to theaters that audiences fell in love with. I am talking about The Princess Bride. With today being the classic’s birthday, I thought I would write a retro-review of the movie especially for any of you unlucky enough to not know about this movie.

Revolution Season 1 Recap Episode 2: “Chained Heat”
Second episode of a brand new series; this is where shows usually make it or break it. I have not placed this show into the category of loving it, yet. It still has potential but I need to see more.
